If you’re seeing a message like:
- “Can’t add eSIM – That eSIM is already on this phone”
- “Plan already in use”
- “eSIM already installed”
Don’t worry. This usually means the eSIM has already been installed on your device.
What you need to know
When an eSIM is installed, your phone may still show a message saying the plan is already in use if you try to add it again.
Sometimes the installation completes successfully, but the eSIM is easy to miss in your SIM list because it may be labelled something different.
An eSIM can only be installed once.
What to do next
Check if the eSIM is already installed.
- Go to phone Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap SIM manager
- Look for an additional eSIM in the list
It may not be labelled “Simify.” It could appear as:
- eSIM 2
- Plus
- CTM
- Business
- Mobile Data
- Or something similar
Most Simify eSIMs are data-only, so you may see:
- No Number
- A blank space
- A series of zeros
If you have two SIMs listed and one is your regular SIM, the other is likely your Simify eSIM.
If you see it listed
You’re all set. There’s no need to install it again. Just turn the eSIM on when you’re ready to activate it.
If you don’t see it listed
If the eSIM is not showing in SIM Manager, it may have already been installed on another device.
Remember, an eSIM can only be installed once and becomes linked to the first device it was installed on.
