Some Simify eSIMs include an in-built VPN (Virtual Private Network) to help keep your connection private and reliable while you travel.
It works quietly in the background — you don’t need to install or turn anything on.
What does it do?
An in-built VPN:
- Encrypts your internet connection
- Routes your data through another location
- Helps protect your online activity
- Allows access to certain apps in regions where restrictions may apply
You won’t see an app or a separate login — it’s built directly into the network routing.
Where is it available?
Our in-built VPN is available on selected Asia eSIMs, especially plans that operate in:
- China
- Hong Kong
- Macau
- Taiwan
If your plan includes it, it will work automatically when you connect.
Why is this useful?
In some countries, certain apps and services may be restricted or require additional verification.
The in-built VPN helps ensure you can continue using common apps like messaging, email, maps, and social media without needing to install a separate VPN.
Do I need to do anything?
Nope.
If your eSIM includes an in-built VPN:
- There’s nothing to activate
- Nothing to download
- Nothing extra to configure
It runs automatically as part of your eSIM connection. There’s nothing you need to install or configure.
