It depends on how long you’re traveling and which countries you’re visiting.
In some cases, one eSIM is enough. In others, you may need more than one to cover your full trip.
What you need to know
You may need multiple eSIMs if:
- Your trip is longer than your plan’s maximum validity
- You’re visiting countries not covered under a single regional plan
- You want separate plans for different destinations
Always check both coverage and validity before purchasing.
Traveling longer than 90 days
If your trip is longer than 90 days and your chosen plan is valid for 90 days, you’ll need to purchase an additional plan.
When your first plan expires, you can activate the next one. This means downloading multiple eSIMs to your device.
Travelling to multiple countries
For multi-country trips, coverage matters.
Some regional plans cover multiple destinations (for example, a European plan covering EU countries). Other destinations may require a separate country-specific plan, such as a Japan eSIM for use in Japan.
If one plan doesn’t cover all your stops, you may need a combination of regional or country eSIMs.
Is there a one-plan option?
In some cases, a global plan may cover all your destinations in one eSIM.
Check the coverage list on each product page to confirm your countries are included.
Before you purchase
Always review:
- Covered countries
- Plan validity (number of days)
- Data allowance
This helps avoid needing additional plans mid-trip.
