How to Set Up Your eSIM on Android

This guide walks you through the full setup, from installing your eSIM on your Android phone to getting connected when you’re abroad.

Install the Simify App

The Simify app is the easiest way to install your eSIM on your Android phone. It also lets you track your usage so you don’t unexpectedly run out of data.

Install Your eSIM

Need an eSIM first? Visit simify.com

You can install your eSIM as soon as you’ve purchased it. Installing it will not start your data plan straight away.

Installation steps vary by device. Follow the instructions for your phone:

Install Your eSIM on Samsung

Go to Settings on your phone
Tap Connections
Tap SIM manager
Tap Add eSIM

Then tap Scan QR code
Tap Enter activation code
Copy and paste Activation Code
You can find the code in the Simify app under My eSIMs. Select your eSIM, then scroll down to Order Details.
Add your mobile plan
Wait for installation to finish.

Once that is done, you are all set until you arrive. When you arrive at your destination, follow the steps in Start Using Your eSIM.

Install Your eSIM on Google Pixel

Go to Settings on your phone
Tap Network & internet
Tap SIMs and Add SIM
Then tap Set up an eSIM
Tap Try these troubleshooting steps

Tap Enter the details manually
Copy and paste Activation Code, then tap Next
You can find the code in the Simify app under My eSIMs. Select your eSIM, then scroll down to Order Details.
Tap to Set up your eSIM
Wait for installation to finish.
Your eSIM is now installed
If you’re not ready to use your plan yet, simply close this screen. Only tap Activate when you’re ready to start using it abroad.

Start Using Your eSIM

Now that your eSIM is installed, the last step is to turn it on and get connected. Do this when you’re abroad and in one of the countries covered by your plan.

Steps for turning on your eSIM also vary by device. Follow the instructions for your phone:

Go to Settings on your phone
Select Connections
Select SIM manager
Turn On your eSIM
It may be listed as Simify, Travel, or another label.

Tap Mobile Data and select your eSIM
Return to Connections
Open Mobile Networks
Turn Data Roaming On for eSIM
Leave Data Roaming Off for your home SIM
Select All networks if asked

You should be online within a few minutes. In some areas it can take a little longer, so give it a moment. If you’re still not connecting, try toggling Airplane Mode on and off or restarting your phone.

Go to Settings on your phone
Tap Network & internet
Tap SIMs and select your eSIM
It may be listed as Simify, Travel, or another label.
Switch Use this SIM On
Switch Mobile Data On for eSIM
Turn Data Roaming On for eSIM
